Clover - Crimson Clover OG Cover Crop Seed - 50 lb Bag

Trifolium incarnatum. This iconic spring cover crop has bright crimson spikes on ~18" plants and usually flowers in late April to early May. Cold tolerant, reseeds well if allowed to fully mature, good for nitrogen fixation, biomass, pollinator forage, erosion control and in blends with cereal grains. Fixes 80+ lbs nitrogen per acre. This seed is grown to USDA Organic standards on a family farm in the Mid-Atlantic. Uncoated - an inoculant is recommended to ensure peak N-fixing potential. 

Plant in late summer, early fall, or spring at 1/4 to 1/2" deep and 15 - 25 lb/acre.
